About ToolClover
ToolClover (toolclover.com) publishes free, simple online tools: calculators, generators and converters for everyday tasks. We focus on practical questions where a quick, reliable answer helps, and on topics where the rules have changed recently or are easy to get wrong, like how cash totals are rounded in the U.S. now that the U.S. Mint has stopped making pennies.
How we build our tools
- Calculations run entirely in your browser. Where money is involved, it is handled in whole cents to avoid floating-point rounding errors.
- Calculation logic is covered by automated tests before a tool is published.
- Explanations are based on official or primary sources (government agencies, statutes, official guidance), and each page links to them.
- Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Laws change, so we update pages when we learn about new rules.
What our tools are not
Our tools and articles are for general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice. For decisions that matter, check with the relevant agency or a qualified professional.
How the site is funded
ToolClover is free to use. We may show ads, for example through Google AdSense, to cover hosting and development costs. Ads never change how a tool works. See our Privacy Policy for details.
